Stoney Point Field is a great place to live and an even greater place to bring up a family. In addition to flying, some homeowners have Golf Carts to get around, some have 4 wheelers and ride on the surrounding trails and there are even horses. Some residents enjoy remote controled aircraft in the evenings and the community host some great parties!
There are many types of wildlife in the area. The community is protected from growth by hwy 400 on the north, restricted property to the west, East and a large buffer on the south. It is indeed a little piece of heaven and we are all very fortunate to have the privilege to live here.
We are located north of Atlanta Georgia at 1145 FT MSL. Our location is at 34 07.83 N 084 12.04W and if you are looking on your GPS our airport identifier is 6GAØ . We have a very well maintained and smooth 2400-FT grass runway 15/33. Please read the Field Operations area of our site if you plan to visit.
There are generally two large neighborhood parties each year. One on Memorial Day and the other in October during the fall season. Most weekend evenings you can find the neighbors doing a cook out.
